Description
Hotline is a distributed programming framework that provides a shared memory abstraction and data and process synchronization services to support iterative optimization algorithms on resource-constrained wireless sensor-actuator networks. These algorithms are typically used to solve distributed control problems in large-scale networks of actuators in applications like personalized light control and cooperative visual surveillance. Hotline automatically improves their performance by exploiting spatial locality inherent in actuation. It has been implemented as a run-time library in TinyOS-2.x.
